Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures in the operating room setting.
• Assist surgical teams by preparing sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient care and surgical details accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina (or eligible to obtain).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant OR experience.
• Experience with general surgical procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, gynecological surgeries, and other related procedures.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, patient monitoring, and surgical instrumentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Familiarity with advanced OR equipment such as Stryker orthopedic systems and Olympus laparoscopy systems.
• Skills in patient assessment, anesthesia support, and post-operative recovery procedures.
