Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
• Generate accurate dose calculations and treatment maps using advanced treatment planning software.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of radiation therapy equipment.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and procedures.
• Float between two local clinical sites, providing coverage as needed within the Wilmington, NC Coastal Region.
• Support patient care by preparing treatment plans and verifying treatment parameters.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dosimetrist.
• Certification or registration with ARRT (T) or equivalent required.
• Experience with adult outpatient tumor localization, CBCT/kV/MV imaging, IMRT, and other advanced radiation therapy techniques.
• Ability to work with treatment planning systems such as ARIA, Eclipse, TrueBeam, and Vision.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Existing experience with Varian linacs and Siemens CT simulators.
• Experience in treating a variety of patient diagnoses such as breast, lung, brain, prostate, and GYN cancers.
• Familiarity with chart checks and radiation safety protocols.

Additional Details

• NO RTO allowed during the initial week of assignment; 7 days maximum RTO approved thereafter.
• No onsite orientation required—clinic provides brief orientation upon start.
• Will be floating between multiple units, with no independent CT simulations or dose calculations expected from the traveler.
• Travel and licensing compliance required within 48 hours.
• Candidate must be comfortable floating and working with multiple treatment systems, including Varian TrueBeam and Siemens CT simulators.
• Shift hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility for 4-10 hour shifts possible.
• Certified in radiation safety and ARRT (T) preferred.
