Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for an assigned group of patients during each shift.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care in a fast-paced environment.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, actions taken, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate quality care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and documentation policies.
• Identify and address patient and family education, discharge planning, and ongoing needs.
• Supervise and mentor LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete competency testing and education specific to patient populations, procedures, and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursing License in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or the American Red Cross.
• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in a specialty, with at least one 13-week prior travel assignment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and team-oriented.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system (training available on-site).
• Prior experience in medical-surgical nursing.
