Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour Days shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac patients in a specialized stepdown unit
• Administer and manage cardiac IV drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dobutamine)
• Perform sheath pulls, TR band applications, and femstop procedures
• Interpret dysrhythmias and utilize remote cardiac monitoring systems
• Handle pre/post cardiac cath procedures and sheath removals
• Access ports, administer blood products, and care for central lines and PICC lines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting
• Valid NC or Compact RN license in hand at start date
• Experience with cardiac drips, sheath management, and post-cardiac cath procedures
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to interpret EKGs and dysrhythmias, including passing EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system
