- Full-time, Night shift (5x8 hours, Sunday-Thursday, 22:00-06:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and trays following hospital protocols.
- Operate sterilizers and cleaning equipment such as Belimed washers/sterilizers.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of sterilization processes using CensiTrac or equivalent systems.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and hospital safety policies.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate efficient instrument turnaround.
- Adhere to department procedures, including proper handling of sterile supplies and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience.
- Certification: CBSPD or CRST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM).
- Valid state license in Missouri or a compatible compact license; license must be in hand at submission for Missouri candidates.
- BLS certification (not required).
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system and CensiTrac instrument tracking.
- Ability to work night shift with a consistent schedule.
- Adequate facial hair for fit testing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Belimed washers and sterilizers.
- Familiarity with hospital infection control standards.
- Previous experience working in level trauma or short-term acute care facilities.
