• Full-time, Day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient dialysis care to patients with acute renal failure, AKI, Hemodialysis, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
• Administer blood products, medications (e.g., Mannitol, Albumin, NaCl), and manage vascular and catheter access issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot dialysis equipment and alarms, including systems like B. Braun Dialog.
• Conduct post-treatment patient assessments and ensure proper access care.
• Manage symptoms such as hyperkalemia, hypotension, muscle cramps, and other dialysis-related complications.
• Maintain infection control protocols and airway management practices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IL Registered Nurse license (must be active at the time of application).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute inpatient dialysis settings.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with dialysis treatment procedures and equipment (e.g., B. Braun Dialog).
• Ability to respond within 1 hour for on-call emergent cases.
• Effective skills in vascular access, blood product administration, and patient symptom management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Background in trauma or teaching hospitals, Level I & II trauma experience.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting dialysis alarms and managing complex patient symptoms.
