Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including assessing and monitoring patients with cardiac telemetry systems.
• Administer IV medications such as Lasix, heparin, IV push medications, insulin, and manage IV infusions.
• Perform wound care, drain management, suctioning with VACs, and care for various types of catheters.
• Manage central lines including PICC, HDC, and midlines, and care for ostomies and postoperative patients.
• Collaborate with the team during daily multidisciplinary rounds to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with Med/Surg Telemetry units, including head-to-toe assessments and orthopedic care
• Proficiency in IV medication administration and central line management
• Knowledge of wound and drain care, parenteral nutrition, and urinary catheter management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with hospital electronic documentation systems (such as Altera/Allscripts Sunrise)
• Experience working with new medical equipment like blood pressure monitors, remote telemetry systems, and vein finders
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt to float policies within similar units
