Job Title
• Surgical Technician – Operating Room (OR CST)

• Columbia, SC

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days shift

Key Responsibilities
• Assist surgical teams in the OR setting, ensuring all procedures are properly prepared and executed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Support surgeons and nurses during various surgical procedures, including Orthopedic, Neuro, Eye, and robotics surgeries.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Document surgical processes accurately using electronic health record systems, primarily Epic.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend shifts, as scheduled.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a surgical technologist or equivalent, with extensive general surgery background.
• Experience with Orthopedic, Neuro, Eye, and robotic surgeries required.
• Certifications: BLS and NBSTSA (NCCT certifications not accepted).
• Must hold or be eligible for a radiation badge (badge to be provided by agency/no hospital provision).
• Ability to work a 4-day, 10-hour weekday schedule with call commitments.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience working in a comparable acute care hospital environment.
• Strong familiarity with EPIC charting system and sterile techniques.
• Ability to float between service lines and adapt to various surgical specialties.
