Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, with a focus on pediatrics aged 6 and up
• Manage oxygen therapy and airway protocols, including non-invasive airway management
• Care for and manage peripheral lines and IV access
• Follow isolation precautions and utilize PPE appropriately
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health records
• Respond promptly to rapid response team activations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:6 to 1:8

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Current nursing license (or compact license) in hand or upon submission
• BLS certification required at hire
• PALS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• Ability to manage oxygen protocols and airway procedures
• Computer proficiency with electronic documentation systems

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Pediatric experience for patients 6 years and older
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Proven ability to float between units as needed
• Flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts
