- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care nursing for neuro telemetry patients, including those with CVA/TIA, subdurals, and seizure disorders
- Assist with post-operative recovery in surgical oncology patients following procedures such as Whipple, esophagectomy, and colon resections
- Care for vascular surgery patients post-peripheral angiograms, with peripheral artery disease (PAD), wounds, or above-knee amputations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and float to medical-surgical units if needed, maintaining patient safety and care standards
- Monitor and respond to patient needs, ensuring optimal patient outcomes during assigned shifts
Required Qualifications
- Illinois nursing license (IL Lic)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of RN experience, including experience with neuro telemetry, CVA/TIA, subdurals, seizure disorders, and surgical recovery
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel nursing experience in acute care settings
- Familiarity with neuro telemetry and vascular surgical post-op care
- Ability to float to medical-surgical units when needed
- Experience managing complex patient cases in a fast-paced environment
