Job Title

• Full-Time, Night Shift (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory care to adult patients in a busy level I trauma center and teaching hospital
• Manage airway devices, perform suctioning, intubation assistance, and extubation procedures
• Administer oxygen therapy using various devices including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Troubleshoot ventilator alarms, wean patients from mechanical ventilation, and operate ventilator equipment
• Float within scope of practice to support necessary hospital units and affiliates

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an adult critical care or emergency setting
• Valid Illinois state license in hand at the time of application
• Current BLS and RRT certification
• Proficiency with airway management, suctioning, and ventilator troubleshooting
• Experience using Cerner charting system

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in trauma-level I or II hospitals and teaching facilities
• Knowledge of advanced airway management and ventilator weaning techniques

Shift Details
• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, four shifts per week

Additional Notes
• The position requires float capability across hospital units and affiliate facilities
• Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Open to local applicants and first-time travelers with at least 1-year experience
• No specific radius restrictions for local candidates, travel compliance required
