Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (12 hours per shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in various ICU units, including Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, and Oncology ICU.
• Monitor and respond to patient changes, administer medications, and perform interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Float to other ICU units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia nursing license or proof of compact license.
• Current EPIC charting experience.
• NIH and stroke education completed within the past year.
• Must provide at least one supervisory reference; two references are preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and possible holiday coverage.
• SSN required at time of submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent ICU experience within the last year in a similar acute care setting.
• Experience caring for trauma, surgical, neuro, cardiac, or oncology patients.
• Knowledge of DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and other high-acuity patient conditions.
