Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 4 days per week, Days shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the operating room environment
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, primarily in orthopedics and total joint surgeries
• Manage 13-week assignments with shifts on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Participate in on-call duties, including 4-6 shifts within a 6-week rotation, with weekend call shifted to 12-hour shifts
• Ensure adherence to facility protocols and standards for Level 1 trauma and surgical procedures
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation using Epic or approved charting systems

Required Qualifications:

• Valid state RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be in-hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum of 2 years operating room experience
• Experience in orthopedic scrub and total joint procedures
• Must have OR scrub and circulating experience
• Ability to perform assigned shifts with 10 hours per shift
• Certification copies required at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• BSN preferred
• Experience with Epic charting systems
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
• Knowledge of specific radiology and laboratory policies (if applicable)
