• Full-time, Days, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (Mon - Fri 0800-1630)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to a daily caseload of 8-10 patients in a hospital setting
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for acute care patients, including those with CVA, hip fractures, total hip/knee replacements, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including adaptive equipment assessments, patient education, and safety/injury prevention
• Document patient evaluations, discharge summaries, plans of care, and reassessments using EPIC charting system
• Support team efforts through occasional assistance with coverage at sister facilities and floating within scope as needed
• Participate in patient and family education focusing on mobility, safety, and recovery

Required Qualifications

• Current State Occupational Therapist license (MO or applicable compact state)
• BLS certification
• EPIC EMR charting experience
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in a hospital environment
• Experience treating CVA, hip fractures/hip replacements, TKA, and other orthopedic injuries
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment assessment and patient transfer safety

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cognitive assessments and neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease
• Additional skills in patient/family education and injury prevention strategies
• Experience in acute care hospital settings and familiarity with billing/documentation requirements
