Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary contract
• 36/48 rotating schedule, 12-hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care within a forensic treatment setting for specialized patient populations.
• Float and provide coverage at both North and South campuses as needed.
• Complete orientation and initial training to ensure compliance with facility protocols.
• Adhere to shift schedules, including alternate 36/48 hours per week, with weekends on rotation.
• Follow all safety and compliance policies, including break periods and shift trading restrictions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a psychiatric or correctional setting.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in a traveling or temporary capacity.
• Ability to work night shifts with 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules.
• Must be able to float between multiple campuses within the facility.
• Compliance with orientation requirements and shift coverage policies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in forensic or correctional mental health facilities.
• Strong interpersonal and crisis management skills.
