Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in the operating room.
• Assist during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain sterile techniques and surgical asepsis at all times.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient outcomes.
• Document patient care, surgical procedures, and interventions accurately in electronic systems.
• Follow unit policies and procedures, and adhere to hospital standards and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing.
• Proven skills in surgical procedures including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
• Ability to work 10.5-hour shifts; schedule includes four shifts per week.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and patient care standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a large, high-volume hospital setting.
• Knowledge of Cerner documentation systems or similar EHR platforms.
• Ability to float to other departments as needed.
