Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries in the CVOR
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Follow strict protocols and comply with facility policies and travel regulations
- Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic health records
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards during all procedures
- Participate in orientation and complete required testing, including EKG and pharmacy assessments
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of relevant RN experience, with 2 years preferred
- Valid RN license (facility does not accept license hits)
- Negative drug screen (10-panel + nicotine) within the past 12 months
- Ability to travel and adhere to compliance deadlines, including 2 references from a direct supervisor or manager
- Must be nicotine-free and comply with facility's smoke-free policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in cardiovascular or surgical nursing concepts
- Familiarity with CVOR equipment and procedures
- Comfortable with orientation testing, including EKG and pharmacy assessments
