• Full-time, Night shift, travel assignment, 13-week duration

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients on a telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including rhythm strips and telemetry documentation.
• Administer medications such as Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Amiodarone drips following protocols.
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKG assessments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including CNAs, PCTs, and hospitalists, to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Complete bedside rounding and hourly patient checks, reporting patient needs to PCTs and updating in the Meditech system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and infusion protocols, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Amiodarone.
• Experience performing telemetry documentation and rhythm strip analysis.
• Ability to perform chest tube and wound vac management.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Philips Telemetry systems and Meditech documentation.
• Experience with acute care units such as Cardiac Stepdown, PCU, or ICU.
