Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgeries within a busy neuro and thoracic surgical unit at a prominent hospital campus.
- Support various service lines including orthopedic, urology, general, and thoracic surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, including DaVinci XI robotic systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sterile protocols during procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Assist with case volume that varies between 28 to 55 cases per day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience, specifically in neuro and thoracic specialties.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Recent experience working in neuro and thoracic surgery settings.
- Ability to work full-time, day shift hours.
- Must be available to work at least 8 weeks duration.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with robotic surgical systems, particularly DaVinci XI.
- Familiarity with orthopedic, urological, and general surgery procedures.
