Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and daily physical therapy treatments within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Carry up to a 6-hour treatment load per 8-hour shift, including gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and caregiver training
- Ensure each patient meets the 3-hour therapy requirement for inpatient rehabilitation, accurately tracking treatment time and charges
- Utilize equipment including ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, gym equipment, and vital sign machines
- Document patient care using Meditech Magic EMR
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team including PT, OT, and SLP staff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of current acute care physical therapy experience
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of overall physical therapy experience
- Familiarity with ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, and standard rehabilitation gym equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Neurological rehabilitation certification or clinical experience in neuro-focused care
- Flexible, team-oriented approach with ability to adapt start and stop times based on patient treatment needs
