Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a neuro-focused medical-surgical unit
• Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status, ensuring safety and prompt intervention
• Administer medications, treatment plans, and document patient progress using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork
• Adhere to safety protocols and unit policies, including Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication

Required Qualifications
• Valid and active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or neuro unit
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Strong teamwork approach with a focus on patient safety

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Neuro unit experience or neuro certification preferred
• NIHSS certification or neuro-specific training preferred
• Willingness to learn the charge nurse role and take on additional responsibilities
