Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations using rapid response teams.
  • Administer medications, including cardiac drips, PCA, and procedural sedation, following protocols.
  • Perform IV therapies, blood draws, and manage central lines, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices.
  • Care for patients with cardiovascular, neurological, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, and respiratory conditions.
  • Follow strict isolation precautions, wound care protocols, and patient safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • RN license in good standing in Kansas or Missouri (compact license preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a cardiothoracic, neuro, or IMC/Stepdown setting.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility for floating between units.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Previous charge nurse or teaching hospital experience.
  • Knowledge of oncology chemotherapy monitoring and advanced IV therapy.
  • Experience with various ventilator management and complex patient care.
  • Familiarity with POCUS, wound vacs, and advanced patient assessments.
