Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shift (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care to ICU patients, including management of multi-system organ failure, cardiac and pulmonary interventions, and ventilator support.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and perform procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and Sheath removal.
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and initiate IVs.
• Implement infection control protocols, use PPE correctly, and maintain patient safety in high-acuity settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including stroke management, hypothermia protocols, and ventilator management.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Missouri (or eligible for compact state license).
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an ICU or surgical ICU setting within the past 12 months.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of complex ICU patients, and advanced airway management.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and continuous infusion management.
• Knowledge of EPIC charting system and experience with advanced ICU procedures.
• Ability to float between ICU, MSICU, and ED units as needed.

Additional Details:

• Shifts are nights, with a schedule of 3 shifts per week.
• Facility requires weekend and holiday coverage.
• Floating to sister facilities and different units within scope is expected as needed.
• Pending Missouri license; compact eligible candidates preferred.
• Travel compliance and module completion required prior to start date.
• Drug screening and reference checks are part of the onboarding process.
