- 3 shifts per week
- Contract / Travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients across NICU, PICU, and general pediatric floors
- Administer medications and treatments such as albuterol, nitric oxide, and nebulizers using various delivery systems
- Manage ventilator settings, troubleshoot alarms, and assist with patient weaning on mechanical ventilation
- Perform airway management procedures including intubation, suctioning, and extubation
- Monitor and interpret ABGs, and provide critical respiratory interventions for complex cases such as COVID-19, aspiration, and chronic lung conditions
- Support neonatal and pediatric transports and assist with high-risk deliveries as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience in pediatric and neonatal critical care
- Active State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
- Proficiency with advanced respiratory equipment including Servo-I, HOFV-3100, Alaris IV pumps, BCPAP, and other neonatal/pediatric machinery
- Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage ventilators effectively
- Willingness to float across pediatric units and floors as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neonatal high-risk deliveries, bronchoscopy, and neonatal transports
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation and ability to draw arterial blood gases
- Familiarity with additional airway management devices and neonatal care procedures
