Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes.
• Administer medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Float to other units as needed based on skills and staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification (required if working in ICU)
• Telemetry experience with medication administration (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care (Step-Down) experience with medications like Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Norepinephrine, Dobutamine
• ICU experience
• Experience in a Nicotine-free facility is preferred

Additional Notes

• Shifts are 12 hours, scheduled nights from 7:45 pm to 7:15 am
• Every other weekend and some holidays required
• Orientation includes days 1-2 at the facility, followed by unit-specific training
• Client allows one shift canceled per pay period at no cost to the facility, with a two-hour minimum notice
