Registered Nurse - PICU

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Schedule / Job Type: No shift / Contract (3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as needed
• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with ratios of 1:1 or 1:3 for holding patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for pediatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care and meet discharge needs
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs and non-licensed staff, ensuring compliance with protocols and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Current Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience
• Minimum of two years of recent PICU experience in a 12+ bed unit
• Valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through recognized organizations (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety)

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Pediatric CVICU experience
• Experience with Epic EMR system
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Flexible and team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment
