- Full-time, travel assignment, days shifts, 5 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients in the operating room among various specialties, including OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Robotics-GYN and General, Neuro-Spine, Endoscopies, and Ophthalmology.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient surgeries.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit-specific guidelines.
- Document patient care activities accurately utilizing the facility’s documentation system.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Ability to work 8.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse or similar documentation systems.
- Experience performing a wide range of surgical procedures in a hospital setting.
- Ability to float within various OR specialties as needed.
