Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Anchorage, AK
Schedule / Job Type: Travel – Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a Surgical Progressive Care Unit with 17 beds and a team of 36 staff members
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient vital signs every 4 hours
• Administer IV medications, manage post-surgical patients, and coordinate patient ambulation
• Utilize telemetry equipment for cardiac monitoring and support NIH/stroke care protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high standards of patient safety and comfort
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with necessary certifications

Required Qualifications:

• Valid State RN license in hand at the time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, NG tubes, trach, CPAP, high-flow devices, and non-titratable drips (excluding heparin)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with adaptability and efficiency

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in cardiac and neuro care units
• Knowledge of electrolysis replacements and post-surgical protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
