Key Responsibilities

• Assist in open heart procedures including CABG, LVADS, Aortic & Mitral Valve replacements, ECMO, Dissections, and Elephant Trunk surgeries.
• Prepare and operate specialized cardiac surgery equipment and maintain sterile protocols in the CVOR.
• Support surgical team during complex cardiovascular cases, ensuring precise instrument handling and documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and surgeons to ensure optimal patient care and procedure flow.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) with at least 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with open heart surgeries such as CABG, LVAD, ECMO, and Valve replacements.
• Ability to respond quickly to call requirements, with residence within 30 minutes of the facility.
• Prior travel experience on cardiac teams performing similar complex cases.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment with patient ratios of 1:1.
• Adaptability for on-call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Details

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8.5 hours per shift, starting at 6:00 AM and ending at 2:30 PM.
• On-call duties include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
