- Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care to emergency department patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills.
- Perform procedures such as splinting and breathing treatments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including charge nurses, flow coordinators, and ED techs.
- Administer medications and monitor patient status using GE monitors and other equipment.
- Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Maintain a flexible and positive approach to varying shift schedules and patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska RN license at the time of submission.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC.
- Prior ED experience with stroke and STEMI care preferred.
- Ability to work on rotating weekends and be adaptable to shift variations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in trauma and pediatrics.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Knowledge of protocols for stroke, STEMI, and respiratory treatments.
