Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care to emergency department patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills.
• Perform procedures such as splinting and breathing treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including charge nurses, flow coordinators, and ED techs.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status using GE monitors and other equipment.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Maintain a flexible and positive approach to varying shift schedules and patient needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska RN license at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC.
• Prior ED experience with stroke and STEMI care preferred.
• Ability to work on rotating weekends and be adaptable to shift variations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma and pediatrics.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Knowledge of protocols for stroke, STEMI, and respiratory treatments.
