Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights shift, 1 shift per week, contract/travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessments and physician orders.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions within scope of practice, ensuring patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly according to hospital policies.
• Participate in emergency preparedness, disaster drills, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in Maine or a compact state.
• Current and unexpired immunizations: varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer/declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD (2-step or titer within past 12 months).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve, demonstrate critical thinking, and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of nursing assessments and skills for all age groups.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred.
• Experience in emergency or acute care settings desirable.
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
