Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, care actions, and responses.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and policies.
• Monitor patient responses and discharge needs, providing education and support throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and collaborate with LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in a large emergency department.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through recognized certifying organizations.
• Successful passing of a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system (training available if needed).
• Prior completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to departmental changes.
• Flexibility to float between departments or local facilities within a 20-mile radius.
