Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit for a census of 24-30 patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including renal failure, neurosurgical cases, trauma, and respiratory management.
• Use rapid response teams, IV protocols, wound care, and airway management techniques such as CPAP/BIPAP.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, PICC lines, and IV starts.
• Interpret ABGs and provide appropriate oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a similar ICU/PCU/Stepdown setting within the past year.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with rapid response teams, IV insulin protocols, renal and neuro surgeries, and airway management.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Fluency in wound care, blood products, and complex airway management.
