- Full-time, dayshift, 8 hours per shift, 5 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Record treatments administered and document progress in medical records following company policy and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate, plan, and administer treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
- Support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and procedures.
- Monitor patient response to interventions and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal care.
- Ensure all treatments are delivered according to established care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Empathy and patience when working with patients.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior clinical experience working with disabled or rehabilitation patients is a plus.
- Experience in a therapeutic or healthcare environment.
