Therapist - Occupational Therapy Assistant
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week contract, rotating shifts, 30 hours guaranteed per week, starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering patient-centered therapy services
- Support patients in regaining functional skills and independence
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate therapy records
- Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities as directed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet individual patient needs
Required Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- State licensure or registration as required by California
- Strong understanding of therapy techniques and patient care procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience working in rehabilitation or outpatient settings
- Ability to work effectively in rotating shift schedules
- Knowledge of documentation and electronic health records systems
