Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Alexandria, LA

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients, adhering to ANA scope and standards of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately.
• Assess patients’ mental, emotional, cultural, and social needs, providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Make appropriate clinical decisions, delegate tasks to care team members, and manage contingencies effectively.
• Demonstrate competence in routine and complex patient care, including long-range planning and goal setting.
• Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, including competency validation and orientation.

Required Qualifications:

• RN license in the state of employment or active compact license.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• ACLS certification from AHA.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in telemetry or cardiac care units.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate clinical proficiency.
• Strong patient education and communication skills.
