Full-time, night shift (7 PM – 7 AM), travel position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to high-acuity ER patients, including assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, delivering education as needed.
• Make appropriate clinical decisions, delegate tasks to care team members, and manage contingencies within the emergency department setting.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Maintain compliance with organizational and ANA standards of practice, demonstrating leadership and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact licensure.
• BLS certification required; current ACLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• One year of experience in an emergency or related high-acuity nursing setting preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department, managing diverse cases such as strokes, cardiovascular issues, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments and handle complex clinical situations.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with effective patient and family communication.
