• Travel, Nights shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and Stepdown Unit (CSU) for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and surgical conditions.
• Float between units and hospitals as needed, maintaining high standards of professional competency.
• Monitor complex invasive hemodynamic parameters post-operatively and ensure patient safety and recovery.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment.
• Adhere to all hospital protocols, including holiday and weekend coverage requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN or higher).
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU (CVICU) experience.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• NIH Stroke Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification (especially if working within pediatric units).
• Additional certifications related to cardiovascular or critical care preferred.
• Ability to float across different units and hospitals as needed.
