Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to a diverse inpatient population, including stroke and neuro patients.
- Monitor and manage telemetry, including remote monitoring and on-unit patient care.
- Administer medications, including blood products and IV therapies, and manage central and peripheral lines, PICC lines, and feeding tubes.
- Perform wound care, wound vac management, and implement isolation precautions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Adhere to patient ratios of 1:5-6 and ensure compliance with all hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant inpatient experience, preferably in telemetry and neuro care.
- Current BLS, NIH, and EPIC experience.
- Ability to perform feeding tube care, line management, and IV starts.
- Experience with patient monitoring systems and telemetry.
- Ability to pass the required EKG pass/fail exam during compliance.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and wound care.
- Experience with patient population having multiple co-morbidities.
