Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse inpatient population, including stroke and neuro patients.
• Monitor and manage telemetry, including remote monitoring and on-unit patient care.
• Administer medications, including blood products and IV therapies, and manage central and peripheral lines, PICC lines, and feeding tubes.
• Perform wound care, wound vac management, and implement isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1:5-6 and ensure compliance with all hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant inpatient experience, preferably in telemetry and neuro care.
• Current BLS, NIH, and EPIC experience.
• Ability to perform feeding tube care, line management, and IV starts.
• Experience with patient monitoring systems and telemetry.
• Ability to pass the required EKG pass/fail exam during compliance.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and wound care.
• Experience with patient population having multiple co-morbidities.
