Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret patient telemetry strips, collaborating with telemetry techs.
• Administer titratable IV medications such as heparin, nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin following prescribed protocols.
• Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and activities of daily living during assigned shifts.
• Document patient progress and updates in electronic health records accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to titrate drips, including heparin, following standard protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Familiarity with common diagnoses such as ortho trauma, vascular procedures, urology, neuro-spine, or oncology.
• Experience with patient care involving wound dressing changes and comorbid conditions.

Additional Details

• Shifts are 12 hours long, with a schedule of 3 shifts per week.
• No float to other units required; float requirements are limited.
• Scrubs may be in any clean, professional color; provided by the facility.
• Orientation includes one day of computer training and 1-2 days of precepted floor orientation.
• Clinicians must have prior employment with Marshfield, with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
• Staff clock in and out at the facility; no self-scheduling available.
