Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
• Assist providers and clinic staff to promote efficient clinic operations and resource utilization.
• Maintain medication inventory, supplies, and perform quality control checks on Point of Care tests.
• Document all care and services accurately and promptly in patient records.
• Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth daily operation.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members to meet patient needs and improve care delivery.
Required Qualifications
• Current, active Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must have applied for Alaska license if hiring directly).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire and annually.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing processes, safety, infection control, and patient assessment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
