• Full-time, nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care within the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU).
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac patients, including those with congenital heart disease, cardiothoracic surgeries, VADs, ECMO, and heart transplants.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Support critical therapies such as ventilatory support, vasoactive medications, CRRT, and other advanced treatments.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices for pediatric cardiac care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU nursing experience.
• Valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Current certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association).
• Experience with VAD, ECMO, and complex pediatric cardiac procedures highly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with pediatric cardiology, cardiac surgery, or transplant units.
• Knowledge of ventilatory support, CRRT, and advanced supportive therapies.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-acuity environment.
