Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematology diagnoses, primarily newly diagnosed leukemia cases.
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients' responses, adhering to strict infection prevention and falls prevention protocols.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team alerts as needed.
• Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care, including PICC line management.
• Document patient care using electronic medical records and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
• Active Ohio or compact nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• Valid Chemo Certification (ONS Chemo Cert) required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with MS/Tele telemetry systems.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage feeding tubes.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and patient safety initiatives.

Additional Details

• Assignment duration: 13-16 weeks.
• Shifts: 12-hour nights or days, rotating schedule, 3 shifts per week.
• Orientation: First week in standard days, followed by on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
• Immediate fingerprinting required upon contract signing; strict compliance deadline.
• Remote or local candidates preferred; must be willing to drive for fingerprinting if out of state.
• Travel compliance and references are mandatory for submission.
