Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care within the operating room setting, supporting surgical procedures across various specialties.
• Assist with complex organ transplant surgeries, including liver, heart, lung, and kidney procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments, operate surgical equipment proficiently, including Misonix and CUSA systems.
• Support the surgical team by managing patient care from preoperative preparation through postoperative recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate efficient surgical workflows and patient care plans.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in liver, transplant, or operating room nursing.
• Proficiency in operating Misonix and CUSA surgical devices.
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications at the time of submission.
• Experience in transplant procedures, specifically in organ placement and management.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive modules and demonstrate compliance with hospital training requirements.
• Nicotine-free within 12 months prior to start date, with negative drug screening (10-panel + cotinine).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a teaching hospital or trauma setting.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting systems.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and work a flexible schedule, including one weekly on-call shift and weekend shifts as scheduled.
