Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the IMC, PCU, and stepdown units, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to emergencies, and manage telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, and manage post-procedure and post-surgical patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Perform wound care, manage central lines, arterial lines, and other invasive devices.
• Float within scope to meet the facility’s staffing needs as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Active Illinois RN license.
• BLS and NIH certifications; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry.
• Knowledge of IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, or ICU settings.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Experience working in a teaching or Level I trauma hospital is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, acute care environment that includes trauma and complex medical cases.
