Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Develop comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medication reviews and history intake to ensure safety pre-procedure.
• Assist physicians with the setup, insertion, and maintenance of specialized cardiovascular equipment such as IABP, Impella, Flow wires, and IVUS.
• Administer procedural sedation safely, monitor hemodynamic waveforms, and manage arterial and venous sheaths following best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations, maintaining readiness within a 30-minute radius to support emergency needs.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including radiation safety and sterile techniques, to optimize patient and staff safety.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or a compact state.
• 3-5 years of critical care experience preferred, with at least 2 years specifically in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS preferred.
• Ability to safely administer procedural sedation, with passing of the annual sedation examination.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamic monitoring applicable to cardiac procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex/critical care medication infusions, including titration management.
• Familiarity with emergency cardiac interventions and monitoring arterial waveforms during catheterizations.
• NIHSS certification and CPI advanced training within six months of hire are advantageous.
• Basic dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation skills.
