Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, night shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a Labor and Delivery unit
- Assist with procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric care
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using advanced fetal monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner electronic medical records system
- Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing experience
- High-risk obstetric experience preferred
- Current RN license in North Carolina or multi-state compact
- BLS, NRP, and ALS certifications required
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and neonatal care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in obstetric procedures
- Ability to adapt quickly to unit policies and emergency situations
- Strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and friendly personality suitable for a dynamic team
