Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Monitor and assess patient vitals, responses, and recovery progress post-surgery
- Administer medications, manage airway support, and perform procedures such as lab draws and catheterizations
- Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care
- Document patient status and treatments accurately in Cerner system
- Assist with float coverage within peri-anesthesia units including Endoscopy and Pre-Operative areas
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with trauma and pediatric patient care
- NIH Stroke Scale experience
- Ability to monitor ventilator functions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous PACU experience in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with pediatric care and trauma settings
- Comfortable working with advanced equipment such as ventilators
- Strong team collaboration skills
