Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Monitor and assess patient vitals, responses, and recovery progress post-surgery
• Administer medications, manage airway support, and perform procedures such as lab draws and catheterizations
• Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Document patient status and treatments accurately in Cerner system
• Assist with float coverage within peri-anesthesia units including Endoscopy and Pre-Operative areas

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with trauma and pediatric patient care
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Ability to monitor ventilator functions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous PACU experience in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with pediatric care and trauma settings
• Comfortable working with advanced equipment such as ventilators
• Strong team collaboration skills

Additional Details

• Shift: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with 3 days per week
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• Worksite: Asheville, NC
