Job Title
• Registered Nurse - CVICU

Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, 3 days per week, permanent placement

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized care to cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) patients, including those with open heart and post-surgical needs.
• Monitor and operate advanced medical equipment such as A-lines, central lines, chest tubes, and ventilators.
• Assess patient conditions continuously, recognizing potential deterioration and implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Support discharge planning and patient education to ensure smooth recovery processes.
• Act as a clinical leader, precepting and mentoring new staff members.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Montana.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Recent experience in critical care, CVICU, or open-heart recovery preferred.
• Proficiency with multiple IV pumps, invasive lines, cardiac telemetry, and EKG interpretation.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with advanced airway management and ventilatory support.
• Knowledge of surgical and medical cardiac patient care.
• Ability to adapt to high-acuity patient needs and contribute to team efforts.
