Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic medical social services to patients and families to address physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges.
• Assist patients of all ages, from intrauterine to elderly, in overcoming barriers to health and well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient interactions and services provided in accordance with organizational standards.
• Support patients in navigating community resources and support systems.

Required Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Valid Alaska State LMSW license.
• Valid Alaska State driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in cross-cultural settings.
• Bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively at the college level.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with supervisory duties when necessary.
• Proficiency in basic math and data interpretation, including graph reading.
